SYNOPSIS
Address your limiting beliefs by focusing on action in the physical, working with the memories to change internally, working with the emotions through feeling and validation, and taking your power back through now showing up different and taking control of the mind and how it sees the situation.
What I’ve seen and experienced is that there will come a point where we just start looping if we don’t do that and only do self-reflection and journaling or mindlessly affirmations.
WHAT WORKS IN ORDER FOR CHANGE LIMITING BELIEVES
I don’t believe in (hehe ^^) excessive self-reflection and journaling and affirmations as the way to change what you see in your life. I don’t see them ultimately as the most effective way to work with your beliefs. Obviously self-awareness is necessary and preferable, but the degree and the proportion we use our focus in action vs. reflection, is what I’m talking about.
Journaling, being aware of our behaviour through self-reflection can become a thought loop that doesn’t lead to change.
Because they can, without combining them with action and energetic movement and somatic awareness – aka getting things physical and interpersonal, have you only ruminating in your head – your awareness and focus staying purely in the mental field, without new direction. This gives you awareness, but does not change you and how you behave when faced with it.
There is a way and how to use affirmations, but it is in my opinion more like as a pep talk type of way when you’re in a situation you need it.
In my opinion, you get faster and more concrete – as in your behaviour and internal state changes- results by doing the work in
- moving the emotions and energy in the body and emotional field
- working with the memory that is at the root
and
- doing things in the physical, that have you do the scary thing and step past the limitations you’ve created in your mind so there’s possibility for shifting and rooting in the new pattern
And why we usually want to work with beliefs? ‘Cause we have realized we are limited or experiencing something we don’t want.
So let’s focus on the results.
Truth is helpful when moving the emotions and suppressed expressions. So is validation. So is feeling the feelings through the body. So is making new connections in the mind. Taking our power back and changing how we now show up.
DO THE WORK WITH A METHOD THAT WORKS FOR YOU
Do the work with a method that works for u. I just tested a specific way to go over the memories that have lead to the idea I have been holding on to and have been manifesting in my experience and it has been the most effective and fastest/instant what I’ve ever tested. Working with others and being accountable works for me as well absolutely excellently. I also do energy work to myself.
CONCLUSION
In my view, concrete transformation comes from addressing the root causes of limiting beliefs, or simply starting to do different, or changing through meditation aka higher awareness that melts patterns, rather than simply trying to override them with positive affirmations or excessive self-reflection.
