That when we can see a system more clearly—its patterns, relationships, risks, behaviours and underlying motivations and forces—we become better equipped to change, to intervene and to have an actual difference.

I am interested in what lies beneath the surface. In situations and in my consulting my interest is to understand:
- What is actually happening?
- What are we not seeing?
- What patterns are emerging?
- What is driving this behaviour?
- Who or what is connected?
- Where should resources be deployed?
- What is the adversary/problem adapting to?
- Which intervention will have the greatest impact?
- How are the different actors, incentives and systems connected?
And, most importantly, what can we do about it? Because if what you already knew was enough, you wouldn’t need to look any deeper.
All this so that we can create concrete, impactful change into harmful systems.
My work is driven by the process of finding, connecting and understanding what matters when it comes to change and impact —and translating that understanding into action. What makes the most impact at the level that is needed.
